Motivated or what?!

http://www.spanishspanish.com/.

The above site was sent in by Julie. Gracias Julia. I was so amazed and energized to be with such a motivated group of folks. Wow! Well, now that we went over how to pronounce sounds and words in Spanish, the sky is the limit, verdad? So, next week, be ready for me to talk less and you to talk more! I hope to give a shout out to you all on the show tomorrow morning. Enjoy the fall y...!Qué diversión!

Bienvenidos Todos-Welcome All Otoño 2010

Welcome all to Fall 2010 class! I am looking forward to designing a class that you will help you enjoy learning Spanish. Learning another language is not easy at first, but it certainly is NOT impossible. All depends on your time and effort. I guarantee, however, that you will learn Spanish even if you put for thee minimum. How do I know that? Because we are going to have fun and when you have fun, you will learn. Some of you have had more experience than others with the language and culture. All of you have different reasons that bring you to this class. I look forward to the adventure! Andale, pues. OK, then.

Our Final Exam

Greetings all!
I hope you had a great evening. It was the best final exam I ever had to administer. Thank you for a great spring! While driving home, I was thinking about more award categories. Most likely to walk her she-dog in the park and cause an international dog incident...or the Sturgeonesque ride to Baja...or most likely to publish the bilingual dictionary for beginners: Sherri. Most likely to open a Mexican Brownie Bar-Eileen. Most likely to attend a yoga camp in Costa Rica: Kathryn. Ah...the list goes on. What a gift. Thank you all once again. Enjoy the summer and look for my name on the fall class list. I can teach a Spanish "next level" for our group.

Great Meeting All of YOU!

Thanks for coming to class! I had fun meeting you and getting to know who you are and what brings you to this class. We have a very diverse group with a wide variety of international and intercultural experiences. The first class was a bit focused on the basics of the Spanish speaking culture as it relates to language. This next class will give you plenty of conversation practice with more focus on you as a learner of language. Remember, because you learned one language, you can learn another! That is just how the brain works. See you next week.

New Class, New Ideas

Greetings all! I am happy to be working and learning with you! The previous posts were intended for another adult class I taught for a local hospital. The links are still relevant and useful. I will be posting regularly for this course, uploading links to sites and movies that will help your learning. Enjoy the experience! We will learn a lot and have fun along the way!
